Columbia, MD—June 26, 2007 – Artifact Software, Inc., today introduced a key upgrade to Lighthouse, its popular Software Development Management solution.  The new version, code-named Cozumel, empowers users to fully customize any data elements captured by Lighthouse.  Software teams can now adapt Lighthouse to their own development process and methodology, use their own terminology, and track the data most important to their business.

Cozumel’s customization capabilities are part of Lighthouse Premium, a subscription service.  Free thirty (30) days trials of Lighthouse Premium are available so that users can evaluate the new features before committing to the subscription service.

Lighthouse is used by thousands of companies worldwide to manage, monitor and measure their software development projects.  It is available in a completely free version called Lighthouse Pro that includes everything needed to manage tasks, resources, costs, schedules, requirements, testing, bugs, issues, documents and more.

With Lighthouse Premium, organizations can customize reports, data fields, and process methodologies, such as Agile, RUP, and Waterfall, or create their own unique process methodology.  Lighthouse Premium also includes priority support and personalized branding.

“We’ve had strong demand from our users to add customization capabilities to Lighthouse,” said Paul Martin, Artifact’s Chief Technology Officer.  “These new capabilities are just the beginning.  Over the next few months, we will add much more customization and extensibility to Lighthouse, making it unrivaled in the market.”

“Lighthouse has really helped us centralize and streamline our rapidly-increasing bucket of projects and processes,” remarked Kevin Thorton, Process Engineer, Bandwidth.com.  “Customized fields and values are the next needed evolution in keeping our development efforts ahead of the curve.”

Artifact has now delivered three major upgrades this year, with two more planned for 2007. These upcoming enhancements will include the Lighthouse open source web services API, integration with popular IDEs such as Eclipse, full project planning, additional data customization capabilities, and custom dashboards.

“Our user base is growing fast and demanding more.  With Lighthouse, we are able to meet this demand for new features at amazing speeds”, said Artifact’s CEO, Mark Wesker.  “Software development management systems like Lighthouse are so adept at helping organizations meet schedule, cost, scope and quality objectives, that it’s only a matter of time before they become an industry standard.”
